By accessing or using Shine (the "App") or the website at joinshineapp.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or Site.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the service.

Shine is a wellness application for general informational and self-improvement purposes only. It is not a medical device, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The content in Shine — including readings, breathing exercises, meditation sessions, and journaling — is based on widely researched acceptance and mindfulness principles. It is educational in nature and does not constitute medical or psychological advice.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or a medical emergency, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency services immediately.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Shine. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.

Shine stores your personal data (activity records, journal entries, progress) locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. We are not liable for any loss of data resulting from device loss, damage, or deletion.

Shine may offer free and paid features. Paid subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms and refund policies.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

All content in the App and on the Site — including text, graphics, illustrations, the wolf companion design, and software — is owned by or licensed to Shine. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App or Site without our prior written consent.

Shine is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shine and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App or Site.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App or Site after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction.
